As a Caregiver at Colwyn Lifecare, no two days will be the same, but you can be certain that each day you will leave work feeling fulfilled knowing that you’ve made a big difference in somebody else’s day. As a Caregiver, you will use your skills to:
- Work together in a team to provide a safe, caring, and supportive environment for our residents
- Follow individual resident care plans
- Form lasting relationships with residents and their whanāu | family
- Adapt and support your wider team members to create a great team environment
He pūkenga tou | Skills & Experience
- A great team spirit with empathy and drive to make a difference in the lives of others
- Good communication skills and the ability to clearly communicate with residents, their families and your team members
- Be familiar with computers and have the ability to learn new systems
- Minimum NZQA Level 2 Certificate in Health and Wellbeing, or a relevant New Zealand or overseas qualification desirable but not essential as on-the-job training will be provided.
- Understanding of Nga Paerewa sectors standards and applying the Treaty of Waitangi standards in the workplace.
