You will work under the guidance and supervision of our nursing team, following each residents individual care plan. You will provide essential support to our residents and their families, touching the lives of those who need it most, making a positive impact, a role where you will make a difference.

  • A genuine passion for working with older people, along with deep empathy and a commitment to making a positive difference in their lives.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage clearly and compassionately with residents, their families, and your colleagues.   
  • A positive, kind, and patient attitude that helps create a supportive environment. 
  • Willingness to undertake ongoing training and development to grow your skills and knowledge. 

 Ngā kawenga | Key Responsibilities:

  • Support residents with their personal care needs—such as meals, hydration, skin care, and personal hygiene—always ensuring dignity, comfort, and respect.  
  • Encourage residents to take part in activities that bring joy, connection, and a sense of belonging, helping to enhance their wellbeing and quality of life.  
  • Record observations accurately to ensure the highest standard of care and safety for every resident. 
  • Build trusting, compassionate relationships with residents and their families, creating a warm and supportive environment where everyone feels valued. 
  •  Work collaboratively with your team, offering help and encouragement to maintain a caring, positive, and efficient workplace.
