Mō te tūnga | About the role:

You will work under the guidance and supervision of our nursing team, following each residents individual care plan. You will provide essential support to our residents and their families, touching the lives of those who need it most, making a positive impact, a role where you will make a difference.

This is a casual position, we provide support for our residents 24 hours a day 7 days a week - this includes weekend work where you can earn up to $4 more an hour for your hours worked on a Saturday or Sunday. 

Resthaven provides a warm, inviting atmosphere where rest home, hospital, and respite care is delivered with kindness and respect. We are seeking a flexible care worker who is comfortable working on a casual basis.

Ngā kawenga | Key Responsibilities: 

  • compassion and passion for working with the elderly and deep-seated empathy and dedication to making a positive impact on their lives  
  • the ability to clearly and compassionately communicate with both residents, their families and your colleagues  
  • a positive, kind, and patient attitude
  • a relevant qualification of Level 2 or higher level on the New Zealand Qualifications and Credentials Framework (NZQCF) (preferred but not essential).
