The role

We are looking for an experienced Business Systems Specialist to join our IT team based in Newmarket, Auckland. 

The Business Systems Specialist plays a key role in connecting systems with the people who use them. This position combines business analysis capability with hands-on functional expertise in ERP and CRM systems, ensuring technology supports business needs effectively.

A strong focus of the role is enabling user self-sufficiency by improving processes, building capability, and helping teams better use the systems available to them. This role works closely with stakeholders across Finance, Supply Chain, Quality, Sales and other teams to understand requirements, develop practical solutions, and support ongoing improvement.


What you will do:

Business analysis and process improvement

· Engage with business units to understand processes and identify improvement opportunities

· Translate business requirements into functional configurations or technical specifications

· Document and maintain business processes and facilitate workshops to support solutions

ERP and CRM ownership

· Act as the functional expert for Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O and Customer Engagement

· Configure, maintain, and continuously improve ERP and CRM systems, including updates and testing

· Build user capability through training, guidance, and supporting increased self-sufficiency

Support and integration

· Respond to system support requests, coordinate BAU support, and work with vendors to resolve issues

· Maintain system integrations and ensure documentation, standards, and processes are kept up to date


Our ideal candidate will have the following attributes and skills:

· Strong business analysis capability including requirements gathering and process improvement

· Experience configuring and supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations

· Ability to design and improve business processes to drive efficiency

· Confident stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills

· Strong problem solving and analytical thinking

· Clear communication with the ability to bridge business and technical teams

· Experience in manufacturing, primary industry, or consulting environments preferred
