Business Owner – Supply Chain Maturity (12-15 month fixed term role)
National Support Office
Mō te Tūranga | About the Role
Southern Cross Healthcare’s Supply Chain Maturity Project is a cornerstone of our 10-year strategic vision, designed to modernise and transform how we manage supply chain operations across 18 hospitals nationwide. By implementing a new Inventory Management System, this initiative will redefine the way our teams work, improve efficiency, enhance data visibility, and deliver greater value across the organisation.
As the Business Owner, you will lead and be accountable for the success of this transformational project—bridging hospital Supply Chain teams, the National Support Office, and project stakeholders. This role requires both strategic oversight and hands-on engagement, from guiding system implementation and data management to shaping the future state of our processes. You’ll lead readiness across hospitals, ensuring accurate data collection, product flow mapping, and system compliance, while driving best practice in inventory management and operational excellence.
Strong leadership, collaboration, and strategic thinking are key to this role. You’ll motivate and guide the project team, provide clear direction, and foster alignment across senior leadership, including the CFO, CDO, and Group COO. As the project’s champion, you’ll lead stakeholder engagement and change communications—ensuring that every part of the organisation is informed, aligned, and inspired to embrace the transformation that will enable ongoing supply chain success at Southern Cross Healthcare. This is a full-time 12-15 month fixed term position based in our National Support Office
