Business Intelligence Analyst - Marketing Automation

Who are you?

We’re on the lookout for a driven, self-starter to join our New Plymouth-based Analytics team as our Business Intelligence Analyst, on a full time, permanent basis. 

Working closely with the Head of Analytics, our marketing team and other technical specialists, your primary focus is the running of our new marketing automation platform (Marketo) as well as contributing to the enhancement and development our BI capability to ensure high levels of data integrity are maintained for accurate analysis and reporting. You’ll be responsible for enabling the business through engaging with key internal stakeholders to analyse data and generate insights for their decision making and business-prioritisation.

As part of the role, you will:

  • Build and maintain the analytical functions of the marketing automation platform.
  • Assist with creating new reports to replace and decommission existing reports.
  • Provide actionable insights and information for ad-hoc queries as required.
  • Assist with ad-hoc analysis and tracking dashboards for business decision-making and measuring delivery impact (“measure-build-measure”).
  • Work with the various business units to provide definitions for key metrics ensuring quality of insights and results.
  • Regularly review data quality and completeness identifying areas for improvement.

To be successful in this role you’ll need: 

  • 5+ years’ experience in development within BI toolsets such as Tableau, Marketo, SQL analysis & reporting services, PowerBI and Excel
  • Strong knowledge of both object-oriented and relational database architecture and data management techniques and practices
  • Experienced in environments with high transaction and batch processing loads
  • Experience analysing and interpreting large and complex datasets
  • To be self-motivated, proactive, detail-oriented, and have a one-team approach
  • To be a change agent - someone who thrives in a fast paced changing environment and actively accepts, embeds and reinforces continuous change.
