About the role I Mō te Tūranga

Play a key role in providing a local presence in helping to raise the profile of the IoD within the Taranaki region

As our Taranaki Branch Manager, you’ll play a key part in driving the IoD’s member engagement in the region by; planning, delivering and facilitating a range of engaging governance-related events and networking opportunities that connect members with each other and the wider governance and business community; and help build their knowledge and capability and provide advice to assist and encourage them on their governance journey.

You’ll help lead a vibrant, high‑impact branch by delivering great events, building strong local relationships, and ensuring members have an outstanding experience.

About you I Mōhou ake

You’ll be organised, confident, and motivated by creating meaningful connections across the governance and business community. You naturally bring people together - members, branch committee, guest speakers and stakeholders - to enable networking, learning, and capability building opportunities that genuinely add value.

You take pride in delivering high‑quality work and bring a calm, solutions‑focused approach, even when juggling multiple priorities. With exceptional planning and coordination skills, you ensure every detail is taken care of so members experience seamless, engaging, and professionally run events and interactions.

You’re customer‑centric in everything you do, applying the same care and commitment to supporting our members as you do to representing the IoD in the region. A natural relationship‑builder, you’re respected and trusted by people across all sectors, from senior leaders to community partners, and you enjoy building strong networks that lift the branch’s profile and impact.
