Talley’s is proudly New Zealand-owned and operated. We run six deep-sea fishing vessels with primarily Kiwi crews bringing the best New Zealand seafood to the world. We are seeking an experienced individual interested in stepping into a key role on one of our esteemed vessels as Talley's is one of the leading fishing companies in New Zealand, based in Nelson. We have a Bosuns position available on our deep-sea fishing vessel the FV Mariner. The role is physically demanding, so you must be fit and healthy. A pre-employment medical, and a drug test will be required. The ideal candidates will have the following:
- A Minimum ADH-F Ticket
- A strong commitment to health and safety
- Proven experience working at sea on a similar vessel
- The Ability to maintain and monitor fishing gear including, splicing and net mending
- A positive attitude and great communication skills
- Discipline and self motivation
- Excellent leadership skills
