Mō te tūnga | About the role:
As the Buddy Programme Coordinator for the Whakatipu area, you will lead the delivery of a well-established Family Works programme that supports tamariki, rangatahi and their whānau.
This role involves coordinating all aspects of the Buddy Programme, from assessing referrals and matching children with trained volunteer “Big Buddies”, to providing ongoing support and oversight to ensure each relationship is safe, positive and effective.
You will recruit, train and supervise volunteers, maintain strong relationships with families and community partners, and promote the programme within the wider community. This is a rewarding, relationship-focused role where you will make a meaningful difference by supporting children and young people to build confidence, resilience and positive connections.
We understand life can be busy, so we offer flexibility, this role is 20 hours per week, and we’ll work with you to find a schedule that suits both you and us.
