Mō te tūraka mahi | About the role
Join our Beauty Therapy team as a Lecturer at our Dunedin Campus. You will be able to share your knowledge, experience, passion and creativity with ākonga (learners) interested in a career in the Beauty industry.
You will be responsible for guiding, teaching and contributing towards the learner journey to ākonga (learners) attending night classes which run 4pm-8pm Monday-Friday.
The role includes face to face teaching of theory and practical curriculum. You will be required to assess students and report on their capability and ability to use new technology.

To be successful in this role, you will:
· A specific Beauty Therapy qualification or have extensive relevant experience.
· Be a strong role model to mentor ākonga learners
· Have skills suitable for encouraging learners to achieve their goals.
· Good communication skills are essential.
· A strong commitment to the support and training of our learners and to meeting their diverse cultural and learning needs
· Alignment and be able to contribute to the values and strategic priorities of Otago Polytechnic
· A tertiary teaching qualification or experience in teaching, coaching or mentoring would be an advantage.
