About the Role
At Calder Stewart our BIM Manager (Digital Engineering) is part of a national design team and includes managing external consultants and stakeholders (internal and external). This position can be based at either of our offices in Christchurch or Milton. As this role has national coverage, overnight travel may be required. The BIM Manager will be expected to work on commercial and industrial design/build projects from a software / process development and implementation scope. You will be responsible for taking client-based concepts for research and development / evaluation to implementation with SOP’s and training, at project and business levels.
Skills and Attributes
We are seeking a professional individual with the following skills and attributes:
· You will have at least 5 plus years commercial/industrial construction experience, preferably NZ experience
· A person that understands architectural and structural design and has a good understanding of all other disciplines including mechanical, electrical, fire and environmental
· A working knowledge of Autodesk Revit and/or AutoCAD, BIM software
· Experience of running multiple projects (will run approximately 4-6 projects)
· Proven experience with R&D of design/BIM packages through to implementation & SOP development
· Adult teaching skills/experience would be desirable
· Excellent communication and organisational skills
· A strong work ethic with proven experience leading a team
· Accommodating personality, level-headed, able to take feedback, lateral thinker
