Automotive Technician – Ingham Taupō

About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to join our service team in Taupō. This is a permanent, full-time position working Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. You’ll carry out servicing, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance work across a range of vehicle makes and models.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics, servicing, and mechanical repairs to a high standard
- Follow manufacturer specifications and internal quality standards
- Support the effective daily operations of the workshop
- Carry out engine and gearbox rebuilds and overhauls
- Electrical fault finding and repairs
- Assist with mentoring apprentices
- Maintain strong customer relationships with a focus on service excellence
Skills & Experience Required
- National Certificate in Automotive Engineering (or equivalent international qualification)
- Strong fault diagnosis and mechanical repair skills
- Franchise experience with Mitsubishi, Kia, Honda, or Suzuki (a bonus)
- WOF Certification (preferred but not essential)
- Full, clean New Zealand Driver’s Licence
- Strong communication skills and a high level of integrity
