Mō te tūraka mahi | About the role 

As a Lecturer, you will be able to share your knowledge, experience, passion and creativity with ākonga (learners) interested in the automotive trade. 

You will

  • be a role model and mentor our learners to encourage them to achieve their goals
  • deliver and modify current curriculum material 
  • assess learners and report on their capability and ability to use new technology in the automotive field.
  • teach to a wide range of learner levels in full-time or part-time study and at block courses and night classes

You will create an outstanding experience by teaching skills and imparting your knowledge to ākonga in either full time or part time study and in practical and theoretical settings. 

The Lecturer will support automotive learning and teaching, with a particular focus on heavy automotive  and will enhance the department’s capability for training at all levels.

You will have:

· have automotive industry experience and qualifications

· heavy vehicle experience 

· be used to using a computer and have good knowledge and expertise in all modern electronics.

· the right attitude and be willing to work with people from all cultures and walks of life.
