New Zealand Rugby Union seeks applicants to be available to help prepare the 2023 NZU20 Team to attend the U20 World Cup in South Africa in June and start of July. An International Series with Australia in May will also be part of the preparation for the Tournament. 

The Assistant Coach is required to support and contribute to the coaching, selection and development of the team. Accountable to the Head Coach, the Assistant Coaches primary responsibility will be to coach forward play and to assist with other aspects of either attack of defence. (please state preference in your application). 

For this role, beyond discipline-specific expertise and experience, candidates should have a good knowledge and understanding of the game as well as outstanding organisational, communication and interpersonal skills. A strong empathy for the values which underpin New Zealand Rugby will need to be demonstrated, as will high levels of integrity, passion, and competitive drive. Please note that this role is a part time position and remuneration will be based around assembly with the team.
