Position Title: Assistant Accountant

Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About the Role

Support the financial integrity of Toi Ohomai through accurate, timely, and compliant accounting support across key finance functions.

You’ll be part of a collaborative Finance team, contributing to financial reporting, asset and cash management, and systems that enable informed decision-making and organisational success.

In this role, you will support monthly and annual financial reporting, maintain asset registers and financial records, manage cash processes and payments, assist with contracts and invoicing, and provide broader support across finance operations.

Ngā mahi | Key Responsibilities

• Prepare inputs for monthly and annual accounts 

• Maintain ledgers, assets, and financial records 

• Support cash management and payment processes 

• Assist with contract administration and invoicing 

• Contribute to efficient finance operations

He kōrero mōu | About You

You bring:

• An accounting degree or working towards one 

• Experience with accounting systems and Excel 

• Sound knowledge of GST and financial processes 

• Strong attention to detail and organisation 

• Great communication and teamwork skills
