Our Network Services Team is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the network.  Our focus is to ensure the network meets our customers needs on a day-to-day basis and is operated, maintained and upgraded in a sustainable manner. 

The Role

Based in Te Kuiti and having responsibility for our Northern team, you will report to the Manager Network Services and  be responsible for ensuring work is allocated and undertaken safely and in accordance with customer, company and legislative requirements.  

You will ensure your customers receive the highest standard of service and that this is done in a timely manner.  In addition, you will be responsible for the financial, commercial, risk and compliance of your area.

You will lead an exemplary network faults, renewal and maintenance service, developing a safety culture that continuously looks at itself and raises the bar. You will drive TLC’s values and behaviours throughout your team, and provide coaching, guidance and mentoring to grow and develop those around you. 

We are looking for someone who is genuinely committed to developing great people and a strong team through leadership and communication.  

To be successful in this role, you will have:  

  • Experience in managing medium to large teams
  • Proven ability to lead a highly effective team
  • Ideally Electrical Distribution experience  
  • Proficiency at MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • The ability to demonstrate a flexible and creative approach to problem solving, good judgement and a proactive attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills with a collaborative style of engagement and experience dealing with external parties
  • A demonstrated commitment to the provision of quality services and meeting customer needs
  • An uncompromising approach to health and safety with the ability to drive health and safety excellence through a controlled network environment for all work carried out on or supporting the network.

Key to your success in this role will be your ability to analyse data and formulate action plans while making sound decisions and recommendations.
