Analyst Developer

About the role

Become part of a busy professional team whose goal it is to ensure that Craigs Investment Partners (CIP) employees have the correct systems to meet the business’s needs. Reporting to the Business Solutions Manager, you will be part of a team providing support and delivering change to 600+ users.

The key focus of this role is the delivery of enhancements and provision of second/third level support for one of our main trading platforms. The Analyst Developer will also be responsible for: 

• Undertaking analysis and software design to ensure solutions are fit for purpose
• Production of system and change specifications
• Developing custom software solutions and system enhancements that fit with best practice
• Engaging with stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement
• Providing excellent customer service and user support 
• Be the subject matter expert/go to person for multiple systems
• Tracking and managing system issues
• Adopting and embracing a culture of continual improvement. 

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

• 5+ years’ recent experience in a software development role including working knowledge of: 
  • Typescript
  • React JS 
  • .NET Core
  • Entity Framework Core
  • SQL
  • VBA
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to work under pressure and deal with change
• Desire and drive to become an expert in CIP systems
• Experience with the software development lifecycle
• Problem solving and analytical skills
• Professional and flexible approach

This position suits someone with initiative and a proactive approach. We expect you will have a strong customer service and team focus, with the ability to quickly come up to speed working with complex and highly integrated systems. A background in the financial services sector and an understanding of financial business applications will be highly regarded.
