An opportunity has come up for a talented Administrator to join our Support Services team at Te Taiwhenua o Heretaunga on a fixed-term basis.

Te Taiwhenua o Heretaunga is a Ngāti Kahungunu mandated, kaupapa Māori values-based health and social services organisation providing services to our community along the East Coast of the North Island, from Mahia to Rimutaka. Our health, social, education and community development teams have been working successfully for whānau for over 37 years.

The Support Services Team is integral to the organisation. They are responsible for procuring, organising, and maintaining all of the buildings, assets and physical things that enable us to do our amazing work in the community. 

Our amazing Administrator is going on parental leave until January 2025. We want to bring on cover for the role as soon as possible so that the successful applicant can get the full handover that they deserve.

We are looking for an energetic team player, with an engaging personality and strong communication skills. We need someone who is proactive and extremely organised. If you have the ability to problem-solve and pay close attention to detail then you may be the perfect fit!

The role is full time, Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm, based at our large site in Orchard Road, Hastings.

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • General administration for the Support Services Team.
  • Assisting with procurement and purchase approvals 
  • Contractor coordination
  • Maintaining the asset maintenance register
  • System implementation 
  • Supporting projects
