About the role  

An opportunity has arisen for an Administrator to join our Custodial team working in our Head Office in Tauranga. This is 6-month fixed term position with full time hours, Monday to Friday. 

Custodial Services Ltd (CSL) is an integral part of the Craigs Investment Partners (CIP) product range as a full-service investment advisory firm. CSL offers a full administration service, acting as a bare trustee and holding clients securities in trust. CSL collects incomes, maintains securities, and ensures appropriate action is taken for corporate action events. 

As a Custodial Administrator you will be responsible for transferring new clients into CSL, moving stock between existing clients and arranging stock movements out of CSL. You will also be responsible for the processing of all START product and broker transfers. Communication with the Private Wealth Advisory network and external registrars, brokers and custodians is a key component of the role.

This is a great role if you are looking to further your financial services administration experience. In return, you will be working in a supportive team environment with ongoing training and exposure to the investment industry.

About you

We are looking for candidates with relevant finance, commerce or business administration qualifications or equivalent financial services work experience, and who are able to demonstrate the following:

  • Understanding of market terminology, including financial instruments (desirable)
  • Experience in share registries process (NZ, Australia and International) (desirable)
  • High level of aptitude for computer systems with good working knowledge of the Microsoft product suite 
  • Clear communicator with a professional phone manner
  • Able to learn new skills quickly and embrace new technology and processes
  • High level of numeracy and literacy
