Administrator -  Eden Cottage Early Learning and Care

Permanent, Part- time (20 hours per week)

This role would suit someone who has an eye for detail and enjoys applying that to support and encourage colleagues and whanau. The successful applicant will have a warm and welcoming manner.

Along with general reception and office duties, this role includes: new enrolments; maintaining existing enrolments; invoicing; communication (newsletters, handbooks, correspondence); assisting with updating policies & procedures; general office duties; assisting with arranging staff rosters and relief teachers. The role will also at times include short-term teacher relief. 

You will also:

  • Carryout administrative tasks to support the running of the centre
  • Provide administration support to the Head Teacher
  • Provide a warm welcome to the centre for all families and visitors
  • Ensure the centre’s administration meets Ministry of Education licensing regulations
  • Provide reporting information to VisionWest management
  • Provide short term relief on the floor to ensure teacher child rations are maintained

You will need:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years office administration experience
  • Sound computer skills etc 'and the ability to quickly learn new systems
  • Experience working with families of young children
  • Highly organized, yet flexible, with the ability to prioritise and multi task
  • Excellent attention to detail and accurate with data entry
