We have an exciting newly created position for an experienced Addictions Practitioner to work in partnership with Probation to support Community Corrections to provide timely access and choice to AOD interventions.
Key areas of focus will be, supporting Community Corrections capability to respond to AOD related needs, engagement with high and complex need AOD-related presentations, matching of needs to treatment pathway and retention of those waiting for AOD treatment.
TToH is a whānau focused, kaupapa Māori values-based, health and social services organisation providing services across the Kahungunu rohe. Our health, social, education and community development teams have been working successfully with whānau for 37 years.
The Role
Reporting to our Clinical Manager Te Poutama Tautoko (TPT), you will be working closely Probation to provide on-site AOD support including advising on appropriate interventions. We are looking for an experienced Practitioner in the Addictions field who understands kaupapa Māori cultural practises in the role of effective drug and alcohol interventions.
We deliver our service and strategies in a professional and personal way, using our kaupapa Māori values of Whakamana, Kaitiaktanga, Whānaugatanga and Kotahitanga. We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate professionalism, be co-operative, reliable and a good communicator. You must have the ability to be assertive and non-judgmental, along with the ability to work with a sense of compassion and to relate to all walks of life. This is a full time, permanent position working 8.30am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday.
