In this role as a permanent full time Activities Coordinator, you will have a huge impact on the quality of life for our residents. Your creative flair will contribute towards a full and varied activities programme, and help look after our residents while creating a caring atmosphere. A full and clean driver’s licence is important, as is the ability to be a team player, vibrant and energetic and have an active interest in activities for multiple levels of function and ability. You will plan and lead activities in groups (small and large) and on an individual basis with our residents living with significant health issues, disabilities and advanced dementia.

What Bupa is looking for?

  • Enthusiasm, care and passion for making a difference to residents
  • Ideally, you’ll have an NZQA (or equivalent) qualification in Diversional Therapy. 
  • The ability to work rostered and rotating shift (including weekends)
  • Reliable transport or travel arrangements

The NZ Government COVID-19 Public Health Response (Vaccinations) Order 2021 (Vaccinations Order), has mandated that workers in the health and disability sector must be double vaccinated, including booster vaccinations which came into effect on 23 January 2022. Due to this mandate, we will need evidence of your two vaccinations and your booster.If you received your second dose on or before 16 August 2021, then you must get the vaccine booster by 15 February 2022. 

If you received your second dose after 16 August 2021, then you must get the vaccine booster within 183 days (6 months) of your second dose. You will be asked to provide evidence of your vaccination status during our recruitment process.
