Bupa is looking for an Activities Coordinator to join the team in our Gardenview Care Home in Levin.

You enjoy variety and have prior experience in this field along with an interest and understanding of the elderly and their needs. 

You are innovative, imaginative and enthusiastic.

This is a full time position, minimum 32 hours per week. 

For this position you must hold a Career force level 4 qualification and be a qualified Diversional Therapist.

In this role you will have a huge impact on the quality of life for our residents. Your creative flair will contribute towards a full and varied activities program and help look after our residents while creating a caring atmosphere. A full and clean driver’s licence is important, as is the ability to be a team player, vibrant and energetic and have an active interest in activities for multiple levels of function and ability. You will plan and lead activities in groups (small and large) and on an individual basis with our residents living with significant health issues, disabilities and advanced dementia.

What Bupa is looking for?

  • Enthusiasm, care and passion for making a difference to residents
  • Ideally, you’ll have an NZQA (or equivalent) qualification in Diversional Therapy. 
  • The ability to work rostered and rotating shift (including weekends)
  • Reliable transport or travel arrangements
