Co-ordinate and develop the Club Enliven Dunedin elderly day service, providing an activity programme to enhance the quality of life and connectedness for older people in our community.
The Role
To coordinate and lead the Club Enliven Dunedin day service for older people, delivering the programme in line with our contractual requirements. The programme will provide a range of appropriate and stimulating activities that enhance personal dignity, quality of life, independence, and connectedness for Club Members.
In this role, you will
- Co-ordinate the planning and implementing of a varied activity programme which enhances the quality of life, independence and connectedness for our members.
- To lead the team of activity assistants, volunteers and students.
- Provide support for our members needs where required for their safety and well-being.
- To assist with driving, kitchen tasks and personal cares as required
- Take responsibility for purchasing, reporting and general administration of the service.
- To provide support and cover across the wider organisation as required.
Hours: This is a permanent position, 22.5 hours per week, 8.30 am - 4.00 pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Some flexibility of start/finish time and days worked may be required on occasion. There is a possibility that this will increase to 4 days in line with operational requirements.
About You
Ideally, you will have an interest in older people and bring practical activity skills.
We would love you to have the following:
- An empathy for older people
- Creativity, and practical skills
- A sense of humour
- Great time management skills and the ability to work both autonomously and as a team member
- A current full and clean driver’s licence is required.
- Basic computing skills, including Word and Outlook

Club Enliven Dunedin operates Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and is based at 158A Oxford St, South Dunedin. Club members enjoy transport to and from the Club, a two-course lunch, morning and afternoon tea and a raft of varied and engaging activities.
