We’re looking for Activities Assistants to join our team in Cromwell, where we support residents in our Rest Home, Hospital and Dementia Units. The purpose of this role is to provide residents with opportunities that will enhance their daily living in a meaningful and dignified manner.

We have various options of permanent, part-time vacancies available. The role will also include some weekend work on rotation.


What you'll do:

  • Plan, implement and evaluate meaningful individual and group activities for residents
  • Deliver programmes that include physical, social and/or mentally stimulating activities
  • Adapt or change activity programmes based on evaluation outcomes
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate resident documentation
  • Ensure a weekly/monthly activities programme calendar is available for residents, families and staff
  • Maintain and build links with community groups and organisations to benefit residents
  • Participate in and assist with regular resident meetings
  • Contribute to quality-related activities and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Participate in professional development opportunities, including meetings as directed
  • Encourage, support and coordinate volunteers assisting with the activities programme
