Mō te Tūranga | About the Role

Southern Cross Healthcare is looking for an experienced Accounts Support person to join our Finance team at our National Support Office. This role will involve Accounts Receivable work and Bank Reconciliation, as well as providing accurate and timely Debtor transaction processing and reporting. 

Examples of the Accounts Receivable work are:

  • Managing Accounts Receivable communication via emails and phone calls
  • Providing training and support for wider hospital sites regarding Accounts Receivable
  • Accurate and timely creation of invoices and credit notes as required
  • Preparing and posting journal entries
  • Preparing and managing End of Month duties

Examples of the Bank Reconciliation work are:

  • Accurate and timely reconciliation of the wholly-owned bank account
  • Reconciling bank ledger to General Ledger
  • Identifying and resolving all entries within bank reconciliation

This role is part of the Accounts Support team, will report into the Accounts Support Team Leader, is part of the wider Finance team at the National Support Office and will work full-time, 1.0 FTE.

  • Minimum 2 years of accounts and finance experience in an accounting / office administration environment
  • Experiences with Technology One or equivalent ERP systems
  • Bank reconciliation and analysis experience
  • Ability to share knowledge and train others
  • Attention to detail
  • Investigative nature, being able to think outside the box and a questioning nature
