Accounts Officer - Fixed Term
We are on the lookout for a self-motivated, positive, and energetic Accounts Officer for a fixed term whilst we get some new systems initiated and operational. We'd look to get the successful applicant started as soon as practicable, and the term will be through until 29 January 2027.

This position is based in Palmerston North however you will be working alongside our four other branches situated in Feilding, Levin, Whanganui, and Masterton.
About the role
We need a fixed term Accounts Officer who is super organised, can communicate positively with our stakeholders and can remain a cool, calm, and collected team player when the busy times hit.
Working within our Business Support Team, 8:30am - 5:00pm Monday to Friday, the key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Accounts Receivable
- Setting up new customer accounts, including performing credit and referee checks
Accounts Payable
- Processing of accounts payable invoices, data entry and coding.
- Maintaining electronic filing of supplier invoices
- Ensure all invoicing for month end is completed.
- Attending to creditor queries.
- Reconciliation of creditor statements.
- Organise invoices for payment electronically on the 20th of the month.
- Providing support and cover for the other Business Support team members.
What we require
- Accurate data entry skills with the ability to handle a high volume of transactions.
- Well-developed written and spoken communicational skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Experience in this line of work is important and great training on our systems will be provided
