Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi | About the Role

The Accounts Administrator is a full-time permanent position in Hawke's Bay responsible for providing accounts payable and receivable support to EIT's financial operations. The role assists with the transactional processing of fixed assets to ensure accurate financial reporting and works closely with staff, students, suppliers, customers and external stakeholders to support efficient financial processes and deliver high-quality customer service.

The appointing salary for this role will be between $60,000 and $68,000, dependent on skills and experience.

The Accounts Administrator is based in our Finance Team reporting to the Finance Manager and will be responsible for:

  • Accurately and promptly processing creditor and debtor invoices, credit notes, refunds and banking transactions.
  • Maintaining supplier and customer account information, monitoring outstanding accounts and resolving payment discrepancies.
  • Managing debt collection activities, including customer queries, payment arrangements and overdue account follow-up.
  • Processing fixed asset additions and disposals and assisting with annual stocktakes.
  • Providing responsive customer service and support to internal and external stakeholders.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Proven experience in accounts payable and receivable procedures.
  • Sound knowledge of accounting systems and processes, with a high level of computer competency.
  • Excellent administration and organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to work accurately under pressure, meet deadlines and deliver quality customer service.
