Accounts Administrator

About the Role
We’re seeking an Accounts Administrator to work approximately 32 hours a week.
Reporting to the Directors, this role will see you take ownership of our day-to-day financial operations. You’ll play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, supporting compliance, and partnering with our external accountants to ensure smooth month-end processes.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Daily reconciliation and transaction processing in MYOB
- Supplier invoice management and payment preparation
- Preparing month-end journals and maintaining the general ledger
- Preparing and filing GST returns
- Preparing and processing payroll for up to 10 employees.
- Maintaining short-term cashflow forecasts
- Reconciling and processing accounting entries from legal settlement statements
- Assisting with budgeting and forecasting
What We’re Looking For:
- Diploma or degree in Accounting/Commerce (or equivalent experience)
- 3–5 years’ experience in accounts administration or similar finance role
- Strong understanding of Accounts Payable, reconciliations and GST compliance
- Experience using accounting systems (e.g. MYOB).
- High attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
- Clear communication and a commitment to accuracy and timeliness
- Experience in property or land development would be beneficial, but is not essential
