As an Account Manager, you'll be the face of Bidfood, building strong relationships with our customers which include tourism operators, hotels, restaurants, cafés, hospitals, ski fields, schools and so much more across the wider Southern Lakes area. You'll be the go-to person for all their needs, from inspiring new menu ideas to resolving issues, all while maintaining our Bidfood's professional and fun vibe. You'll need to be highly organized, resilient and demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills along with initiative and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow a range of hospitality and foodservice accounts. 
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with customers and act as their primary point of contact. 
  • Identify opportunities to increase sales through product recommendations and sales analysis.
  • Conduct regular customer visits.
  • Collaborate with different departments including procurement, distribution and customer service to ensure product availability, timely delivery and great communication. 
  • Resolve customer issues efficiently and professionally. 
  • Monitor market trends in the food market to identify growth opportunities. 
  • Achieve sales targets while maintaining strong customer satisfaction. 
  • Maintain accurate customer records and sales reporting.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Experience in account management, sales or hospitality, preferably in the food or alcohol industry. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Resilience to handle challenging customer interactions and maintain composure under pressure.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. 
  • Passion for food and Wine and a desire to share that passion with others.

We are looking for someone with a long-term commitment to Queenstown. You must also be a New Zealand or Australian citizen or have permanent residency status and have a full, clean Drivers License to be considered for this role.
