Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi | About the Role

Wintec | Te Pūkenga invites dynamic and experienced individuals to join our Te Kura o te Oranga (Centre for Health & Social Practice) team in the heart of Waikato. As a leading institution committed to delivering quality education and training, we are excited to be able to offer two full-time permanent positions within our nursing education team. One position is suitable for an applicant that is looking to enter the education sector and the second position is suitable for an experienced educator. 

  • Facilitate engaging and interactive learning experiences for nursing students.
  • Instruct and mentor students in both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and enhancement.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices.

He kōrero mōu| About you

  • Have a current practising certificate.
  • Belong to a relevant professional body.
  • Have five or more years of experience in the nursing profession.
  • Possess a valid permit to live and work in New Zealand

If you are an experienced educator, then ideally you will also:

  • Be able to demonstrate the application of mātauranga Māori in education.
  • Be able to teach and support ākonga/students in a manner that honours Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
  • Hold a tertiary teaching qualification.
  • Be actively engaged in research, scholarship, and/or critical reflective research.

Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies is a plus.
