  Tēnei Tūranga Mahi | About the role   

Are you seeking a role where you can combine your clinical experience as a physiotherapist with proven academic expertise to teach a range of ākonga on Wintec’s physiotherapy degree? Are you excited by building collaborative relationships within our teaching team, across our learning organisation and with the physiotherapy community? Do you have experience and skills to teach in a professional educational setting through a culturally responsive approach and an understanding of Mātauranga Māori? Do you want to expand your research capabilities? 

Join our Wintec Physiotherapy programme in a teaching role. You will work among a dedicated and enthusiastic team to prepare ākonga with real-world skills, knowledge and mindsets to be successful physiotherapists. 

 He kōrero mōu | Our ideal candidate has the following skills and attitude: 

  • Eligibility to practise as a physiotherapist in Aotearoa New Zealand or Australia.
  • An undergraduate or postgraduate degree in physiotherapy.
  • A minimum of 5 years clinical experience in one or more of musculoskeletal, cardiorespiratory, and neurological physiotherapy.
  • A Master’s, PhD, or DHSc in physiotherapy or a closely related discipline (or nearing completion) is highly desirable but not essential.
  • Experience in adult teaching and learning, curriculum design and research.  
  • Existing relationships with industry stakeholders within Aotearoa New Zealand.
