Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi | About the Role

· Permanent, Fulltime (will consider part-time applicants)

· Based at our Mokoia Campus, Rotorua

· Make a lasting impact on our students (ākonga) and the field of Automotive 

This is an exciting time to be part of our Toi Ohomai whānau as an Academic Staff Member - Automotive (ASM). You will be teaching on all our Automotive Engineering programmes, presenting in the classroom, and in our specialized training and commercial workshops. The role involves tutoring students (ākonga), research, review and update of resources and classroom materials, setting and marking assessments and results entry. You will also be responsible for assisting with the recruitment and care of students (ākonga) and actively participating in the team and faculty environment.

As an ASM you will:

· Deliver Automotive Engineering programmes

· Provide leadership in student (ākonga) management

· Develop, plan and implement student (ākonga) assessment, courses and resource material

· Monitor student (ākonga) progress and results and provide timely and accurate advice and support as required

· Complete planning and timetabling for the Programme as well as assisting with recruitment.

As the ideal applicant you will have proven capability and experience in the following:

· Qualified Automotive Engineer

· Minimum five years post graduate industry experience

· Adult Teaching Qualification (whilst desirable, professional development will be provided)

· Passion for educating the next generation of Automotive Engineers

· Ability to fit into a high-performance team

· Importantly, you will be able to demonstrate strong alignment and commitment to our Toi Ohomai values.
