Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi | About the Role

This position offers an experienced mental health nurse the opportunity support nursing students during their theory and in clinical practicums within various Mental healthcare settings. Based within the Bay of Plenty region, the role is both stimulating and multi-dimensional, guiding students through various learning approaches in class, online and in clinical labs, assessing competence, and providing on-going feedback and guidance. 

The ASM Mental Health Nursing is based at our Windemere Campus Tauranga, Toi Ohomai | Te Pūkenga reporting to the Academic Lead and will be responsible for: 

· Develop and deliver effective partnerships with key stakeholders 

· Support and guide nursing students’ development, learning, and understanding of nursing practice, both clinically and professionally in Mental health 

· Use a learner-centred approach to facilitate the learning of diverse students in clinical settings

To be successful in this role you will have:

· A Master’s degree, Diploma or PG certificate in a related field (or working towards it) 

· A current NCNZ Annual Practising Certificate 

· A minimum of 3 years post-registration experience 

· Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
