The Position: We are seeking an experienced Registered Health Professional to join our Hastings Team as a AOD Recovery Practitioner working in a permanent full-time role.
The days of work are between Monday to Friday 8am-5pm.


Skills and experience:

  • Hold a registration under the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance (HPCA) Act or have a recognised qualification with a current registration and annual practising certificate. (Social Work - Dapaanz - Psychology)
  •  Follow the principals of Enabling Good Lives and Whanau Ora.
  • Be culturally responsive, and honour Te Tiriti principals of Rangatiratanga.
  • Have a good sense of  humour and can work well independently and in a team.
  • Provide  comprehensive clinical assessments and deliver tailored therapeutic interventions
  • Experience  working in the mental health and addictions sector or a relatable field with an understanding of professional boundaries and practice ethics.
  • Understanding of group dynamics and be confident and have experience in group facilitation ability to facilitate therapeutic groups.
  • Have a thorough understanding and ability to apply motivational interviewing techniques and various counselling modalities.
