ACE Coordinator

The ACE Coordinator - Tairāwhiti is a permanent full-time position based across the Tairāwhiti region, including Gisborne, Ruatoria and Wairoa. Reporting to the Head of School Primary Industries and Viticulture and Wine Science, this role is responsible for coordinating and delivering Adult Community Education (ACE) short courses that respond to community needs and support lifelong learning opportunities. Working closely with community groups, iwi, facilitators, learners and internal stakeholders, the position ensures the effective planning, promotion and delivery of programmes while maintaining strong community relationships and positive learner outcomes.
The appointing salary for this role will be between $65,206.00 and $76,548.00, dependent on skills and experience.
The ACE Coordinator - Tairāwhiti is based within Adult Community Education and reporting to the Head of School Primary Industries and Viticulture and Wine Science and will be responsible for:
- Identifying community learning needs and opportunities for Adult Community Education delivery across the Tairāwhiti region.
- Identifying and engaging facilitators with the capability and capacity to deliver ACE programmes.
- Coordinating, planning and organising classes, resources, facilities, marketing activities and training venues.
- Coordinating staffing requirements and arranging facilitator contracts in line with employment requirements.
- Monitoring programme expenditure and reporting on budget performance to ensure targets are achieved.
- Monitoring attendance and programme records to support achievement and reporting requirements.
- Setting course fees in consultation with key stakeholders and relevant staff.
- Gathering learner feedback and evaluating programme effectiveness to support continuous improvement.
- Promoting programmes and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance programme profile.
- Maintaining accurate student records and effectively utilising organisational systems to support programme administration and enrolments.
