Grief Centre is also a medium-sized Supplier of ACC Sensitive Claims services, supporting survivors of sexual harm via our team of registered Lead and Allied Health Providers. We are committed to the provision high quality support for those impacted by sexual violence, recognising the deep and lasting impact trauma can have on individuals, whānau and communities. Through our work under the ACC Sensitive Claims Service, we provide safe, respectful and best practice care that supports healing, empowerment and recovery. 


About the Role
We are seeking a values-informed, qualified and compassionate Clinical Team Lead to support the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed services under our ACC SCS contract. This is a 12-month fixed term role, working 15–20 hours per week over Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

You’ll work closely with the Clinical Manager to provide leadership, oversight and support to a multidisciplinary team of Providers and Assessors to ensure services meet ACC’s standards and deliver meaningful outcomes for clients. You’ll also assist with compliance, performance monitoring, training, and recruitment as part of a small and values-aligned clinical team.


What You’ll Be Doing

  · Provide confident, day-to-day support to a multidisciplinary team of ACC SCS Providers and Assessors, addressing queries on treatment planning, service delivery, and reporting, while ensuring alignment with ACC’s Service Schedule and Operational Guidelines.

· Ensure services align with ACC’s contractual and quality standards by clearly communicating compliance expectations, monitoring clinical outcomes, supporting quality assurance, and assisting the Clinical Manager with record-keeping and ACC reporting requirements.

· Collaborate with the Clinical Manager to deliver ACC-aligned training and support ongoing professional development, peer reviews, and learning for clinical staff.

· Proactively address risk-related concerns, support Providers with complex practice issues, escalate matters to the Clinical Manager as needed, and help maintain the ACC risk register for the Grief Centre.

· Monitor Provider performance through regular oversight and spot checks, offer coaching and feedback to support clinical and reporting standards, and collaborate to enhance overall service quality.

· Support regional service coverage by assisting with recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing guidance to ensure appropriate staffing across contracted areas.


What You’ll Bring

You’ll have a relevant postgraduate qualification (e.g. psychology, counselling, social work, mental health nursing) and full professional registration with a current annual practicing certificate.

You will have at least 3 years’ clinical experience working within the ACC ISSC or SCS service, along with a solid understanding of ACC SCS processes and operational procedures—or the ability to learn quickly.

You’re confident leading therapeutic providers, committed to equity and Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and bring strong relationship-building, communication, and digital skills. You are ethical, detail-oriented, and process-driven, with the ability to navigate complex situations, support others, and help deliver excellent outcomes for clients impacted by sexual violence. And of course, you have heart for this work. Experience in counselling supervision and policy development is a bonus.
