 On behalf of our client, we are looking for a motivated sharemilker with strong communication skills, a solid understanding of pasture management, and exceptional attention to detail.  

Farm Details

• Location: Whareora, 10 minutes from Whangarei
• Size: 110ha effective milking platform flat to rolling contour, System 3. 
• Infrastructure: 28 ASHB shed, with in-shed feeding
• Herd: 280 jerseys, or 260 crossbreds – spring calving. Young stock and some dry cows grazed off
• Production: 110,000 kgMS supplemented with 300t PKE. Twice a day milking. 
• Staff:  2 FTE – Would suit a couple

• Primary school located within 5km and secondary school within 7km of the farm gate
• 12km from centre of Whangarei

Accommodation

• Main dwelling: 4-bedroom house plus outside room
• Second dwelling available if required
• Farm Owner lives off farm

Ideal Candidate

  You need to demonstrate expertise in:

• Strong pasture and feed management skills
• Attention to animal health and performance
• Clear communication and record-keeping ability
• A high standard of farm maintenance and cleanliness
