2IC Role on Tatua-Supply Farm | Morrinsville
A high-performing 2IC / Assistant Manager is sought to join a well-established dairy operation in Kereone, ideally located just 10 minutes from Morrinsville and within easy reach of Matamata.
The farm operates a high-input system, milking 240 Holstein Friesian cows through a 20-aside herringbone shed, featuring CowManager fully integrated into the automatic drafting system. You’ll be part of a collaborative team working across two neighbouring 70ha farms to support each other during busy periods and key projects, while delivering to the high standards required for Tatua supply.
Key responsibilities:
- Support day-to-day farm operations, stepping in for the Sharemilker when required
- Assist with herd management, including breeding, calving, and animal health
- Monitor pasture, manage feeding, and carry out general farm maintenance
- Follow Health & Safety procedures and contribute to a tidy, well-presented farm environment
