2026 Seasonal Packhouse Quality Controller
As a Quality Controller on our Night shift team, you’ll work hands-on across our packing process, maintaining high standards while developing valuable technical skills in horticulture.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in accuracy, and wants to be part of a friendly, fast-paced team. You’ll grow your knowledge, confidence, and experience, while having fun and building genuine connections along the way.
What you’ll do:
- Inspect fruit at multiple stages of the packing process
- Maintain accurate quality records
- Communicate quality standards to packing and production teams
- Complete training in quality procedures, hygiene standards, and market requirements
- Champion Rockit’s commitment to delivering premium fruit globally
Hours & Location:
- Sunday to Friday, 4:30pm – 2:30am
- Based at our purpose-built Rockit Te Ipu site, Longlands, Hastings
- Expected to start late January 2026

Skills & Experience
- Quality or food safety experience in a packhouse (preferred)
- Knowledge of hygiene, safety, and quality regulations in a production environment
- Accurate and detail-oriented
- Cooperative, positive, and a team player
- Passion for apples and care about handling them properly
