2026 Seasonal Coolstore Shrouders
This active seasonal role works closely with our Coolstore team to help protect bins full of our beautiful little apples with plastic shrouds in storage and supports the smooth running of our cool store operations.
Starting in February 2026 this work is available until May 2026, with potential opportunities for further work afterwards.
Key tasks include:
- Covering full bins of apples with plastic shrouds in the coolstore
- Assisting with stock movement tracking
- Take photographs of the bins to submit for AI bin scan trial
- General coolstore duties as required
Shifts Available
We have two Hastings sites with multiple shifts available including:
- AM Shift: Tues–Sun, 6:00am–4:00pm (~60 hours/week)
- PM Shift: Tues–Sat, 10:00am–8:00pm; Mon, 6:00am–6:00pm (~62 hours/week)
- Night Shift: Tues–Sat, 8:00pm–6:00am; Sun, 4:00pm–2:00am (~60 hours/week)
- AM Shift: Mon–Sat, 6:30am–5:00pm (~63 hours/week)
Flexibility is required with start and finish times as these can vary depending on seasonal fluctuations.

What Rocks You
We are looking for people who:
- A team play, positive attitude and willingness to learn
- A person who takes pride within their work to ensure shrouds are correctly placed, bins are stacked safely, and inventory is tracked accurately
- Are comfortable working at height using ladders
- Enjoy working in cooler environments
- Physically fit and able to perform manual handling work on your feet all day
- Basic numeracy and stock tracking skills to help record bin movements and read labels
- Great communication to coordinate with the team and report any issues quickly
- Legally entitled to work in New Zealand, and pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
Full training is provided—you just need your energy and enthusiasm!
