About the role
We are seeking a person who is passionate about supporting people and technology to join our growing and changing Internal Technical Services team in Wellington. You will be troubleshooting hardware & software, solving problems as they arise and helping our wonderful Catalyst staff.
This role involves supporting workstations that are primarily Linux based (mostly Ubuntu), desk equipment, and office technical services such as printers and meeting rooms. You’ll also have opportunities to work on our workstation management tools and systems, like making changes to Puppet modules and writing scripts to improve the workstation experience for our staff.

About you
We’d love to hear from you if you are someone who enjoys working with a variety of people of different technical skill levels, and have a real knack and interest for problem solving and trouble-shooting. You’ll also be someone with a good working knowledge of Linux and desktop applications with a genuine interest in learning and growing in this position. Most importantly, you’ll need to be able to communicate calmly and supportively in a range of formats: in person, on the phone, through video calls and screen sharing and when updating support tickets.
