We specialise in systems that provide full data sovereignty and are free from licensing costs and vendor lock-in - we do this through the power of open source and the freedom it gives for innovation.
With companies in New Zealand, Australia, the UK and Canada, we’re recognised globally for our open source expertise, pushing the conventional technology boundaries and creating award-winning software solutions.
A career at Catalyst gives you the opportunity to work on high-profile projects, collaborate with industry experts, and continuously grow - personally and professionally. We’re on our own journey to align ourselves better with te ao Māori and our team is filled with open source enthusiasts who share our values of openness, freedom, collaboration and respect.
About the role
In this role, you'll serve as the first point of contact for client support across a portfolio of our learning solutions clients. Forming a clear picture of each issue before resolving or escalating, you’ll be communicating directly with clients to clarify requirements, provide updates on our response, and manage expectations throughout. When issues require escalation, you'll prepare context-rich documentation for your development and consulting colleagues.
Beyond day-to-day support, you'll keep an eye out for patterns in incoming requests and contribute ideas that pre-empt and reduce repeat issues, driving better outcomes for our clients over time. You’ll work closely with our Account Managers and Technical Leads, sharing client insights and experience. You'll play an active part in building the team's shared knowledge along the way. For the right person, this is also a strong foundation for growth into account management or deeper consulting as your platform knowledge and client relationships deepen.
About you
What we're looking for in this role, is someone who will take ownership of their part of our service, holding themselves to high standards and following through on commitments made. You’ll be a natural communicator across all mediums, able to quickly build rapport with colleagues and clients alike.
Ideally you will have a background as a user or administrator of learning management systems, applying your experience to distill what’s important and potentially missing from a request for help. You’ll be confident in your delivery but understand your limits. You’ll understand when to escalate requests which you’ll do by providing enough context that colleagues can pick these up without starting from scratch. In all cases you’ll be learning and adding to your own knowledge base.
In this respect you’ll be curious and always looking for ways to improve your delivery. Highly organised and with a strong service ethic, your clients will never be left wondering when they’ll hear from you or where our delivery is at. You’ll work to agreed response times and service levels throughout. You are motivated by the consistent positive feedback your actions generate. This positivity is infectious.
