Catalyst is a New Zealand owned technology business who have been delivering expert open source solutions to clients for over 20 years. We have over 300 staff around the world in a range of locations: consultants, developers, trainers, designers – all focused on our core goal of enabling success for our clients with open source!
We are looking for someone to join our Open Knowledge team, who specialise in the design, development and hosting of mission critical platforms including LMS and ePortfolio systems.
About the role
We support over 100 high-value sites for a range of clients. That includes education providers, private businesses and government departments. Your role will be to assist us to further our automation of that work: building of sites, testing, security updates and feature upgrades as we approach a refresh of our support infrastructure.
You will have a good understanding of using the Linux command line, a good knowledge of open source application stacks and IP networking, strong scripting ability in your chosen language and good knowledge of IT security practices.
You’ll need to be comfortable working with a diverse range of stakeholders, including other teams within our company and our array of clients, so top notch communication skills are key. Occasional out of hours work may be required (once every few months).
