Our centrally located centre at BestStart Gillies Ave is seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified and Registered Teacher to join their energetic and established team in the Infants room. .
BestStart Gillies Ave stands out as a premier early childhood education center, offering a fantastic outdoor space surrounded by two mature Pohutukawa trees. Dedicated to fostering confidence and knowledge, the center integrates a love for learning through the natural world.
Regular excursions to local schools, parks, and bush walks enhance the educational experience, ensuring a well-rounded development for the young learners in a nurturing environment. The team at BestStart Gillies Ave are excited to welcome you into their relaxed and collaborative environment, where you will be supported, appreciate the variety, where no two days are the same.
This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week, between the hours of 7.30am-530pm, Monday-Friday. (Rotating rosters offer flexibility around family commitments).
Role requirements:
- Commit to making a difference in the lives of young learners with a team dedicated to excellence. We are looking for the following:
- B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE or Primary) and current teacher registration/certification
- Good understanding of child-led curriculum, planning and extending on our children's learning
- Demonstrate good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regard
- A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices
- Passion and commitment for teaching and learning with a focus on delivering quality
